Is the presented concept unique or innovative, especially within the context of the problem track they are trying to address? What else is already out in the industry that may be similar? -
UX Design / Functionality
Did the team put considerable thought into the user experience? How well designed is the interface? Would the key users of the problem trying to be solved actually find the concept useful? -
Aesthetics
How visually impressive does the concept look? For an app/website it’s all about the UI — was time taken to pick complementing typefaces or color palettes? Are there any appealing graphics? I -
Learning
Did the team stretch themselves? Did they try to learn something new? What kind of projects have they worked on before? This Design Jam is not only meant to be a competition, but an opportunity for students to learn and practice design
